SL-XPW-1000 I Contrast enhancement and post compression

BEAM SHAPING

SL-XPW-1000

For clean, high contrast pulses

Laser contrast enhancement (> 3 orders)

Laser post compression (> 2 folds)

Fully customizable, fully interfaced, fully stabilized

The SL-XPW system

The SL-XPW system

Laser contrast enhancement (> 3 orders)

Laser post compression (> 2 folds)

Fully customizable, fully interfaced, fully stabilized

This system is based on cross-polarized wave generation (XPW).

This compact XPW filter is adapted for contrast enhancement by three orders of magnitude or more of ultrashort lasers with up to multi-kHz repetition rate and energies up to more than 10 mJ, while ensuring up to 20% transmission.

This filter is also an efficient post-compressor for ultrashort laser pulses.

The system can be used with various rare gases and gaseous mixtures of these gases. Different millimetric and submillimetric nozzle types can be installed.

The typical atomic peak density at the exit of a submillimetric nozzle is close to 2.1021 atoms/cm3.

Typical temporal profiles before and after XPW

a. Pulse compression from 50 to 20 fs
b. Coherent contrast enhancement by 2 orders of magnitude
c. Incoherent contrast enhancement by 4 orders of magnitude

5 fs pulse FROG traces After HCF and after XPW filtering

Spatial beam profiles after XPW a) near-field and b) far-field

Performances:

Input energy range: 1 – 10 mJ

Input duration range: 5 – 100 fs
